Former Sanitation Minister, , has requested an earlier hearing for the 's application to confirm the seizure of money found in her home and the freezing of her bank accounts.

Dapaah argues that the ongoing seizure and account freeze have caused her significant hardship, stress, and embarrassment.

Dapaah's application to expedite the hearing comes after the High Court initially rejected a similar application and instructed the anti- agency to unfreeze her bank accounts and return the seized money to her.

However, the Office of the Special Prosecutor re-seized the money and re-froze the accounts shortly after complying with the court's directive.

The application for confirmation was filed on September 11, with a scheduled hearing date of October 18.

Dapaah, in her request for an expedited hearing, emphasized that any further delay would increase her hardship. She proposed that the case be heard on October 11.

In addition to seeking an earlier hearing, Dapaah also refuted the claims made by the Office of the Special Prosecutor.

She described the allegations that she is involved in real estate business with aliases and that her late brother's bank accounts continue to transfer money to her as misleading.

These assertions are detailed in an affidavit submitted by Dapaah in opposition to the application for the confirmation of the re-seized GH¢2.83 million and the re-frozen bank accounts.
