Former Sanitation Minister has taken legal action against the () to prevent an investigation into alleged and related offences involving her and her husband, Daniel Osei Kufuor. Court documents have revealed her efforts to block the inquiry.

Dapaah has also sought to unfreeze her bank accounts and challenge the reseizure of funds found at her Abelemkpe residence.

In her filing, she requested “a Declaration that the Respondent's re-seizure of the money (initially seized from the Applicant's home on 24/07/23) and re-freezing of Applicant's bank accounts respectively on 5th September 2023 is unfair, unreasonable, capricious, arbitrary, and ultra vires the Respondent's statutory powers under Act 959 relative to the constitutional provisions of Articles 23 and 296 of the Constitution, 1992.”

Additionally, Dapaah's lawyers have asked for an order prohibiting the OSP from continuing the investigation into her and her husband for corruption or corruption-related offences.

The OSP had previously alleged that Dapaah used aliases to conceal transactions related to an undisclosed real estate business. However, Dapaah strongly refuted these claims, describing them as misleading statements from the OSP.

This legal move follows Dapaah's resignation as Sanitation Minister in July amid allegations involving her house staff in theft cases. Calls for her resignation and investigation led to her stepping down from her position on July 22, 2023.
