Trade Ministry holds RTI workshop for public institutions

The Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry held a Right to Information (RTI) sensitisation workshop on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, aimed at strengthening transparency and accountability in public institutions.

The workshop, chaired by Chief Director Noah Tumfo on behalf of Minister Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, brought together management and staff of the Ministry as well as representatives from the Right to Information Commission.

Led by Vincent Appau Bediako, the workshop provided detailed training on the RTI Act, highlighting its role in promoting openness, transparency and good governance.

Participants were taken through the legal framework for information requests, as well as the procedures and responsibilities of public institutions under the law.

The interactive session allowed staff to ask questions and engage in discussions, gaining practical knowledge on how to apply the RTI Act in their daily work.
