The Minister emphasised the importance of the beverage industry in Ghana’s economy, noting its impact across agriculture, manufacturing, retail, and hospitality. She stated that the sector contributes significantly to job creation and supports livelihoods nationwide.

Themed “A Toast to Ten,” the event marked a decade of achievements in the industry while pointing to future opportunities for expansion and innovation.

Hon. Ofosu-Adjare commended industry leaders and encouraged them to continue improving the quality of locally produced beverages while strengthening their presence in international markets.

She also announced several government initiatives aimed at boosting the sector’s growth.

She highlighted the Feed the Industry initiative, which is designed to strengthen linkages between local agriculture and beverage manufacturing, while supporting farmers and producers.

She further noted that the upcoming Agribusiness Policy will accelerate sector growth through value addition and provide a strategic framework for business expansion.

The Minister also announced plans to revive the Made-in-Ghana Fair, which will provide a platform for local beverage producers to showcase their products and boost consumer confidence in Ghanaian brands.

She said the fair will help promote local products and improve the visibility of Ghanaian brands both locally and internationally.

At the event, the Chief Executive Officer of Global Media Alliance, Mr. Ernest Boateng, urged industry players to embrace emerging technologies, especially Artificial Intelligence (AI), to transform operations in the sector.

He noted that AI could help predict market trends, improve product quality, and enhance operational efficiency.
