Following a comprehensive review of national petroleum stock levels, conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition and key industry stakeholders, the NPA confirmed that the country currently has adequate supplies of petroleum products to meet both current and projected national demand.
According to the Authority, sufficient quantities of Petrol (PMS), Diesel (AGO), Aviation Turbine Kerosene (ATK), and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) are available across the country.
The NPA indicated that government agencies are implementing proactive measures to maintain supply reliability and ensure stability in the fuel market.
These measures include continuous monitoring of national fuel stocks and close coordination with international oil trading companies, importers, distributors, and local refineries.
The Authority also noted that collaboration with entities such as BOST Energies and other industry players is helping to ensure timely fuel imports and consistent product availability nationwide.
In addition, the NPA said it is strengthening strategic supply planning and price monitoring mechanisms to reduce the risk of supply disruptions or price volatility that could arise from global petroleum market developments.
The Authority therefore urged the public to remain calm and avoid panic buying, emphasizing that the petroleum supply chain in Ghana is operating normally.
The National Petroleum Authority reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring reliable fuel supply, transparent market operations, and the protection of consumer interests, while pledging to keep the public informed of any significant developments.
