His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama has opened the Northshore Apparel Hub in Savelugu in the Northern Region, a modern manufacturing facility that forms part of the government’s 24-Hour Economy initiative.
The facility is expected to boost local manufacturing, create jobs and expand economic opportunities in the Northern Region while strengthening Ghana’s textile and apparel industry.

Present at the opening were the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare; the German Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Frederik Landshöft; Presidential Advisor on the 24-Hour Economy Initiative, Goosie Tanoh; and the Chief Executive of the Ghana Export-Import Bank, Hon. Sylvester Adinam Mensah.
The Northshore Apparel Hub also incorporates sustainable and zero-waste production practices, supporting the government’s broader efforts to promote industrialisation alongside environmental sustainability.
