The Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Samson Ahi, has described the launch of the Green Innovation Fund as a significant step towards accelerating Ghana’s transition to a greener, more digital, competitive and export-oriented industrial economy.
Launching the Green Innovation Fund at the Ghana Industrial Summit & Exhibition 2026 in Accra on Wednesday, 16 September, on behalf of the sector minister, Hon. Ahi said the initiative represented more than a financing window, describing it as a bridge between Ghanaian innovation and global market opportunities.

Hon. Ahi stressed that the Green Innovation Fund had become particularly relevant as international trade increasingly placed emphasis on climate standards, digital product passports, carbon border adjustments and other sustainability requirements as conditions for market access.
He called on development partners, particularly the European Union, the Netherlands and France, to continue supporting Ghana’s industrial transformation agenda through partnerships aimed at mutual prosperity.
