Anwiankwanta, Ashanti region – Authorities in the Ashanti region have initiated an investigation into the alleged rape and murder of an 18-year-old woman in Anwiankwanta.
Residents reported that the young apprentice was picked up by unknown individuals in a vehicle who had offered to give her a ride home. Her failure to return home prompted concerned community members to search for her.
Tragically, her lifeless body was found in an unfinished building just a few meters from her residence.
Eyewitnesses at the scene revealed that she was partially unclothed, raising suspicions of potential sexual assault before her untimely death.
Law enforcement agencies were alerted, and a thorough inquiry has been launched to unravel the circumstances surrounding this tragic and mysterious incident.
Frank Awuah, the assembly member for the Awiankwanta electoral area, spoke to Citi News about the ongoing investigation, urging anyone with information to come forward.
