A total of 26 countries, including Ghana, have committed to participating in badminton at the upcoming 13th in . The event holds significance as it serves as an Olympic qualifying event, with countries vying to enhance their chances of qualifying for the 2024 in Paris, .

Scheduled to take place from March 3-10 at the newly constructed Borteyman Sports Complex, badminton will be among the first events to commence, preceding the official opening ceremony. Participating nations span across the continent, including , , , , , and many others.

Mr. Evans Kojo Yeboah, President of the Badminton Association of Ghana, expressed readiness to host the event, highlighting the collaboration between his federation and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) to ensure a successful tournament and provide visitors with Ghanaian hospitality.

The 13th will feature approximately 30 disciplines and are expected to host over 5000 athletes and officials, along with about 300 volunteers and numerous media representatives. The , Legon, will serve as the Games Village, with various venues, including the Borteyman Sports Complex, , Achimota Cricket Oval, Stadium, Alisa Hotel, Laboma Beach, and Bukom Arena, earmarked for the games, which will run from March 8-23.
