Asantehene inaugurates Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Jubilee Hall at Manhyia Palace

In a grand ceremony, the , Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has officially inaugurated the ‘Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Jubilee Hall,' a multi-purpose event centre located within the Manhyia Palace premises in . This ultra-modern facility marks a significant addition to the palace's infrastructure, offering a range of amenities to cater to various events and functions.

The Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Jubilee Hall boasts impressive features, including a fully air-conditioned and acoustically designed conference hall with a capacity of 2000, a cocktail lounge capable of hosting 400 guests, a spacious car park accommodating 150 vehicles, a state-of-the-art kitchen, and 60 well-appointed washrooms. The interior design of the hall showcases elaborate traditional motifs, including ‘adinkra' symbols and a replica of the golden stool, adding to its cultural significance.

The inauguration of this complex coincides with the 25th anniversary of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II's enstoolment as the 16th occupant of the golden stool, further enhancing the significance of the occasion. Nana Otuo Serebuo II, the Juabenhene and Chairman of the anniversary planning committee emphasized the hall's importance in hosting private Asanteman meetings, symposiums, cultural performances, and other traditional functions. The decision to name the facility after Otumfuo Osei Tutu II serves to immortalize the king's legacy for future generations.

The event was attended by dignitaries, including Lady Julia Osei Tutu, the wife of the , queens, chiefs, religious leaders, and members of the public. The inauguration of the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Jubilee Hall represents a significant milestone in the ongoing development and preservation of the rich cultural heritage of the Asante Kingdom.
