Armed robbers steal GH¢400,000 from Forex Bureau in Ga South Amanfro

Two armed men on a motorbike have reportedly robbed a Forex Bureau in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Region, making away with about GH¢400,000. The incident took place near Amanfro Top Town.

The owner of the Forex Bureau and a gold dealer, Alhaji Mumuni, explained that the suspects, who had been monitoring their movements from Zongo, attacked them in Amanfro Top Town.

The robbers, armed with guns, demanded money from the victims, and one of them fired a warning shot.

The victims handed over a bag containing around GH¢400,000, including foreign currency.

The Ngleshie Amanfro Police have been informed, and an investigation into the robbery has commenced.

Eyewitnesses reported that the robbers, who were on a motorbike without a number plate, claimed to be police officers, making it difficult for anyone to intervene.
