Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III, the Custodian of Akwamuman, will lead a delegation of Akwamu Chiefs to participate in the 7th Ghana International Finance and Trade Conference.
The involvement of traditional overlords and custodians of the conference venues has been adopted as a practice for future conferences.
According to a statement signed by Mr Selasi Koffi Ackom, CEO of GITFiC, Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III, the Paramount Chief of Akwamuman, will deliver a special address on behalf of the traditional chiefs, focusing on the role of the Chieftaincy Institution in matters of Continental and Global Finance, the Global Debt Crisis, the Continental Free Trade Area, and Intra-African Trade.
The statement further mentioned that Odeneho will join the Eastern Regional Minister and other dignitaries in welcoming participants to Akwamuman for the 7th conclave, which will discuss the prospects of Africa's Single Currency in relation to the AfCFTA.
Selected delegates attending the conference will pay a courtesy call on the Akwamuman Hene at Akwamu Fie on May 26, 2023, just before the opening ceremony of the 7th conclave.
The 7th Ghana International Trade & Finance Conference will be known as the SENCHI Consensus on Africa's Single Currency and will feature high-level stakeholder participation from all Regional Economic Communities (RECs) in Africa.
