Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Ghana’s Foreign Minister, has announced that he will host the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia later this year. This follows a recent meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Dhakel, where the two officials discussed expanding bilateral relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, the Ghanaian Foreign Minister highlighted the growth of Ghana-Saudi Arabia ties, with an emphasis on the upcoming historic projects in multiple sectors. Notably, Saudi Arabia has increased Ghana’s Hajj quota, now exceeding 6,000, marking a significant milestone in the two nations’ relationship.
Ablakwa expressed his eagerness to further strengthen the partnership with Saudi Arabia under President Mahama’s government, stating, “Great times for Ghana-Saudi Arabia relations.”
The upcoming visit of the Saudi Foreign Minister is expected to deepen cooperation and open doors to more collaboration between the two countries.
