Yingor FC triumphs at inaugural Yingor Cup 2025 in Dabala

Dabala, South Tongu – Yingor FC emerged victorious at the inaugural Yingor Cup 2025, defeating Cule FC 8–7 on penalties in a thrilling grand finale held over the weekend.

The event was graced by Mr Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister of Sports and Recreation, who served as the tournament’s special guest. The Minister praised the skill, passion, and sportsmanship displayed by all participating teams, congratulating the champions for their achievement.

“Supporting grassroots sports is not just about football; it is about building opportunities, nurturing talent, and strengthening the foundation of Ghana’s sporting ecosystem. The Ministry of Sports and Recreation will continue to back local initiatives with equipment, financial support, and visibility as part of our national sports reset agenda,” Mr Adams remarked.

He expressed enthusiasm about the talent and unity showcased at the tournament and reiterated his commitment to the growth of grassroots sports in Ghana, encompassing football and other sporting disciplines.
