
Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah is the seasoned Member of Parliament for Ellembele, hailing from Atuabo and representing the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Born on Tuesday, 10th May 1966, he is a dedicated Christian and one of the longest-serving MPs in Ghana’s Fourth Republic, with continuous service in the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Parliaments.
A strong academic achiever, Hon. Buah holds a Bachelor of Administration from KNUST (1991), a Master’s degree from the University of Maryland (2000), and a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) from the University of Law, UK (2022). He is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Electronic Science and Technology in China, expected to be completed in 2025.

His distinguished public service record includes serving as Ghana’s Minister of Energy and Petroleum and previously as Deputy Minister of Energy. He also held a senior-level managerial role as Post Master with the US Postal Service before returning to contribute to Ghana’s governance. Currently, he serves as the Deputy Minority Leader in Parliament, where he also sits on the Committees on Parliamentary Affairs and Human Rights.
