Hon. Andrew Dari Chiwitey is the Member of Parliament for Sawla/Tuna/Kalba, elected on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He was born on Sunday, 27th September 1970, and hails from Nakoiyiri. A Christian by faith, he is currently serving in Ghana’s 8th Parliament, having previously served in the 7th.
He holds a Master’s degree from the University of Cape Coast, earned in 2014, and a Bachelor’s degree from the same university, completed in 2011. He also obtained a Higher National Diploma from Tamale Polytechnic in 2003.

Before his tenure in Parliament, Hon. Chiwitey gained experience in both academia and governance. He now plays a key role in legislative work as Vice Chairperson of the Roads and Transportation Committee. He also serves as a member of the Independent Constitutional Bodies Committee, Deputy Ranking Member on the Assurance Committee, and a member of the Ways and Means Committee.
