As part of a policy dialogue series, a meeting was held with the Trade Advocacy Group, an association for traders, importers and business people, to discuss their current challenges and the future of trade and business in Ghana.
The group outlined several challenges affecting traders and businesses, including high and arbitrary import duties, high demurrage costs, high shop rental costs, high taxes and difficulties in accessing credit.

The discussion focused generally on policies that could address these challenges, make it easier to do business, expand opportunities, create jobs and position Ghana as a trade hub in the sub-region.
The Trade Advocacy Group was thanked for attending the meeting and for the ideas presented during the discussion.
