Traders at Kofibadukrom, a border community in the Dormaa Central Municipality of the Bono Region, have expressed concern over poor business activity ahead of the Christmas festivities.
According to the traders, customer turnout and sales have been significantly lower this year compared to the same period last year, despite expectations of increased commercial activity during the festive season.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), some traders said business throughout November had fallen far below expectations, with only a few customers purchasing goods.
A female trader, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the approaching Christmas season had not translated into increased patronage.
“We see Christmas coming, but as one can clearly see, the number of customers here are not many,” she said.
Another trader, Idrissa Alhassan, who sells ropes and sacks, also described business as slow.
“Business is not all that good despite the fact that we are entering the Christmas season,” he said.
The traders are hopeful that patronage will improve in the weeks leading up to Christmas to help offset the sluggish start to the festive trading period.
