According to NACOC, preliminary investigations indicate the consignment was intended for distribution within Ghana and possibly other countries in the sub-region.
The Commission believes the seizure may be linked to a wider drug trafficking network and says investigations are ongoing to identify and arrest other individuals connected to the operation.
The recovered tramadol tablets have been secured as evidence while forensic analysis and documentary examinations continue.
NACOC reaffirmed its commitment to disrupting drug trafficking syndicates and protecting public health and national security through sustained intelligence-led operations.
The Commission also appealed to the public to support the fight against illicit drugs by reporting suspicious activities to law enforcement agencies.
The three suspects are expected to be arraigned before court after investigations are completed, in accordance with Ghana’s narcotics laws.
