The Embassy of Denmark in Ghana has announced vacancies for the position of Communication and Cultural Officer.
The position is available on either a full-time or part-time contract under local terms and conditions, with the successful applicant expected to begin work as soon as possible. The role is based at the Embassy’s offices at 67 Dr Isert Street, North Ridge, Accra.

According to the Embassy, the successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening its public diplomacy and promoting Denmark’s visibility and engagement in Ghana through strategic communication and cultural initiatives.
Key responsibilities include planning and implementing cultural projects, high-level events, official visits, seminars and networking activities, as well as developing communication materials such as articles, speeches, press releases, presentations and visual content.
The officer will also manage the Embassy’s social media platforms, website, and other digital communication channels, build relationships with journalists and communications professionals, and oversee projects related to music, performing arts, literature, exhibitions, and other cultural activities.
Applicants must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, event management or a related field, with demonstrated experience in organising high-level events and campaigns. Excellent written and spoken English is required, while proficiency in French will be considered an advantage.
The Embassy said experience working in an embassy, international organisation, non-governmental organisation, or another multicultural environment will be an added advantage.
The successful candidate will receive five weeks of annual paid leave, health insurance for themselves and eligible dependents, and will be employed under a three-month probation period.
Employment is subject to security clearance by the Danish authorities, including the presentation of a police clearance certificate.

The Embassy said only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews, which are expected to take place within two weeks after the application deadline.
