Ministry of Health announces recruitment of specialist medical professionals for the Jamaica programme

The Ministry of Health has announced a recruitment exercise in partnership with the Government of Jamaica to engage qualified Ghanaian medical and nursing professionals for employment opportunities in Jamaica.

The programme targets specialist nurses and fellowship-level physicians across various disciplines, including neonatology nursing, oncology nursing, critical care nursing, nephrology nursing, emergency nursing, peri-operative nursing, registered nurses and midwives.

It also covers physicians in general surgery, internal medicine, anaesthesiology, pathology, nephrology and cardiology.

Applicants are required to meet the regulatory requirements of the Medical and Dental Council and the Nursing and Midwifery Council and must have at least two years of post-basic working experience.

According to the Ministry, applicants must submit original and photocopies of academic certificates, certificates of good standing, appointment letters, criminal record certificates covering the past six months, certificates of change of name where applicable, immunisation certificates, birth certificates, CVs, reference letters, passport photographs, and biodata pages of valid passports.

Applications are to be submitted through the Ministry of Health Recruitment Portal at https://hr.moh.gov.gh.

The application period runs from Monday, 1 June 2026, to Friday, 5 June 2026. Applicants are required to present all supporting documents, including certified copies of qualifications and professional registration, at the interview stage.

The Ministry stated that only suitable applicants will be considered.
