The carnival, marked by colourful attire, unique dancing, and cultural displays, aimed to engage the local community and generate excitement for the upcoming competition.
Dr. Kwaku Ofosu-Asare, Executive Chairman of the LOC, emphasized the importance of extending the awareness campaign beyond Accra, where the games will be held.
He highlighted the need to garner nationwide support and enthusiasm for the event, which is expected to attract over 50 African countries.
Dr Ofosu-Asare expressed the commitment of the LOC, along with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and other stakeholders, to ensure the success of the 13th Africa Games.
He mentioned plans to involve various groups in the Western Region in the games and create a memorable experience for participants and spectators.
The 13th Africa Games are scheduled to take place from Friday, March 8, 2024, to Saturday, March 23, 2024, in Accra.
The awareness campaign is a strategic effort to engage communities across the country and build excitement for this continental sporting event.
